JOIN THE BARK TEAM!
Application, questionnaire, and resume must be submitted by midnight, March 3, 2025, to BARK Nomination Committee.
Signed and dated.
Selected nominees will be voted by proxy vote via election through email March 4th and nominees who are elected will take office March 10th.
Note: All applicants must meet the nomination committee requirements to be considered a candidate, including an active membership with B.A.R.K. More than one person running for the same position can be named on the ballot for voting of the membership. If only one person applies, that person will be named if the qualifications are met.
At Large Board Member: Genuine care about BARK’s success and longevity. Creative problem solver and not afraid to challenge leadership or question decisions, policies, and ideas. Strategic thinker, diverse, not necessarily a BARK volunteer. Team building experience and values are the foundation of donors and supporters of BARK. Current BARK member. Additional gifts and talents are encouraged and welcome!
Vice President: Supports the Board agenda and BARK by laws. Key Leader in BARK fundraising. Able to assume President duties as required. Enforce BARK policies, supports long term goals, and ensures the BARK team is executing their duties to the fullest. Displays creative marketing ideas to involve BARK with their community, donors, and volunteers. Social media skills/ fundraising/ Computer skills. Current BARK member.
Secretary: Maintain the Bark board minutes and attend monthly board meetings. The secretary arranges the location and coordinates the time with other board members to attend the board meetings and any special meetings. Minutes are to be recorded and emailed to the board members in a timely manner to review before the next meeting. The secretary also assists with Thank you Letters to donors. Maintains the board members fundraiser schedules by publishing locations and dates. Sharing all social media posts to Facebook groups within the BARK network (Bosque County groups and rescue groups). You are required to volunteer at fundraising events or adoption/transport events when available. Current BARK member. All board members are asked to promote an atmosphere of Dogs First!
Treasurer: Maintain Bark accounts general, secondary, animal emergencies and transport. The treasurer will also create, present and maintain a monthly report to the Boar: expenses , revenue based and losses within the budget. Depending on the fundraiser or bark activity, they will need to make deposits from donations by mail, transfer monies from cash app, PayPal, Venmo, and flipcause weekly. All monthly bank statements much be forwarded to our CPA, Jane Murphey, for quicklook updates and filings with the tax office. The treasurer holds one of the signatures for a two-verification on all accounts, debit cards and check signing. They coordinate with the BARK director on operation expenses and President on kennel operations. You are required to attend a monthly board meting and volunteer at fundraising events or adoption/transport events when available. Current BARK member.
